Q. What is this all about?

A. The North Kansas City Community Center offers free wireless internet access to all of its customers inside the building during regular business hours.

 

Q. How much does this service cost?

A. This service is free for current North Kansas City Community Center customers and visitors renting any part of our facility.

 

Q. Is there a daily time limit on my access?

A. there is no time limit; however access to the internet is only available during business hours.

 

Q. Where do I get a username and password?

A. Please visit the Front Desk for usernames and passwords.

 

Q. What about security?

A. The Community Center free wireless is a public access network. Therefore, there are no guarantees or expectations of privacy when using our wireless network. It is up to the users to provide their own security or make sure that the websites they are visiting provide adequate security and encryption.

 

Q. Are there any content filters or other controls limiting my access?

A. The Community Center uses DansGuardian Content Filtering on all internet access. More information can be found at www.dansguardian.org
